    Destination: Treasure Island

    Story
Your quest is to find Long John Silver on Treasure Island to warn him about his old mates that are seeking revenge. The story is mostly told through drawn cutscenes just like Return to Mysterious Island. But Jim Hawkins (The Protagonist) has quite a lot to say throughout the game as well.
It’s an enjoyable tale told in a fun upbeat way. A good classic pirate adventure like the old movies.

    Gameplay
The game is played in a first person 360º view node style, much like Myst III.
If you’ve ever played Return to Mysterious Island, than you’ll be happy to see the return of the giant inventory/menu. You can pick up and combine and build all kinds of different items.
The downside is that you need to first find and then figure out what goes with what. Most of the time this isn’t too much of a problem, but occasionally you find yourself walking to each area scanning every tree just to make sure that you didn’t miss something. Don’t worry about this too much, for the most part it’s fairly easy to find and combine what you need.

    Puzzles
Most puzzles are “how do I get over there” or “how do I make this work” and occasionally you run across the “tie the knot puzzle”. Most of the “how do I get over there” puzzles are find and combine to make something that works, or possibly disassemble and repurpose.
The “how do I make this work” puzzles can be a combo of both, or just following the clues.
Overall they keep them interesting and varied throughout the game.

    Sound/Music
The first thing you’ll notice is the very upbeat happy menu music. The rest of the game offers a nice selection of mostly happy adventure type music, with the exception of the “scary” parts. All of the music is very well made and quite enjoyable. No complaints when it comes to the sound effects either.

Overall this game is great! It’s fun by yourself or with a friend. It is also family friendly and somewhat educational. Destination: Treasure Island is a high adventure of old time pirates, action, and puzzles. If you’ve played any Kheops games before, you won’t be disappointed with Destination: Treasure Island.

    Pros
A great story that is easy to follow
Upbeat. If you want something depressing this isn’t it.
    Good music
A unique to Kheops inventory system
Interesting puzzles that will keep you thinking

    Cons
Some puzzle will leave you pixel hunting
